OUR COMPANY, BERGEON SA

Active for more than two centuries alongside those who have set out to master time.

It is a major objective to acquire the status of Manufacture. This transformation, which began almost 10 years ago, is now a concret activity in which more than 60% of our collaborators are dedicated to the production of equipment and tools marketed by Bergeon. Until the end of the 2010s, we mainly produced small series and prototypes with a fleet of 3 CNC machines and conventional equipment over an area of 150 m².

Since then, the machining sector has continued to grow and now occupies an area of over 1,500 m². AS a result, we have gradually acquired a state-of-the-art machine fleet with around fifteen CNC machines, including several equipped with loading robots and bar feeders, allowing us to produce a large part of our products labeled «Bergeon Manufactured».

Our company, although strongly integrated in the design and manufacture of this new product line, continues to work closely with the network of sub-contractors / regional partners, with strong industrial skills. It is also with them that we make some of our products that we carry out with the Swiss Made label. This network of subcontractors is a real necessity for us in view of the great diversity of products that make up our «Essential» range.

Installed since the end of 2017 in our new premises, at the Allée des Défricheurs in La Chaux-de-Fonds, we deploy our industrial activities on nearly 4000 m². Today we integrate into our industrial process, R + D, methods, Quality, CNC production in bar turning, turning, milling, stamping, cylindrical and flat grinding as well as laser engraving. In addition, there are two assembly and packaging workshops where all our products are assembled and packaged, guaranteeing the outstanding quality of our manufactured products. Thus, nearly 40 employees make up the continuously developing industrial sector.

To ensure the activities of Bergeon SA, we must add close to 20 people who make up the Human Resources, Commercial, Marketing and Supply Chain sectors. Finally, 10 employees from the logistics sector complete our workforce.

In the end, 70 collaborators in Switzerland and 3 in China and Hong Kong are working to perpetuate a long tradition of equipment manufacturers in the Swiss and international watchmaking sector, through a wide range of products sold in more than 110 countries.

Finally, it is worth mentioning that as a training company, we train about ten apprentices in the commercial, technical and logistics sectors.

This transition as a manufacturer also opens up prospects in fields other than watchmaking and now, we also position ourselves in the fields of microtechnology and Med Tech. It is to meet the new qualitative and environmental organizational requirements that we are in the process of ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certifications.

Today, it is through a proactive approach called «Global Concept» which proposes to realize "turnkey" technical solutions that our company presents itself in the various markets where we are active.

Bergeon SA’s quality approach meets the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015. The main axes, defined below, are carried out by the management, who undertakes to promote them within the company. We aim to :

The satisfaction of our customers is at the heart of our concerns. Our technical-commercial team in permanent contact with them has over time created a relationship of partnership and trust. Today, it makes it possible to target their equipment needs precisely in terms of quality, functionality, ergonomics and novelty.

2. DESIGN, MANUFACTURING AND MARKETING OF INNOVATIVE QUALITY PRODUCTS

Our technical office develops new innovative products that meet the Swiss Made label, mostly carried out internally. This allows us to market products perfectly suited to the requirements and market reality. The quality and durability of our products, which give us a competitive advantage, remain the common thread of our developments.

3. CREATING SUSTAINABLE PARTNERSHIPS WITH OUR SUPPLIERS AND SUBCONTRACTORS

In addition to being a watchmaking equipment manufacturer, over the years we have created a network of suppliers and subcontractors that we consider to be true partners. Their geographical proximity allows us to contribute to the development of the regional industrial fabric and is part of our vision of sustainable development. These collaborations allow us to carry out complex projects and integrate various technologies at the cuttiny edge of innovation into our products.

4. THE SUCCESSFUL INTEGRATION AND INVOLVEMENT OF OUR EMPLOYEES

Our employees are the lifeblood of the company. Passion, team spirit, mutual support and motivation are the values that we favor within the company. We aim to ensure the sustainability of our activities by providing a safe environment and promoting the development of individual skills. We are a training company and preparing the next generation is important to us.

5. THE SUSTAINABILITY OF OUR ACTIVITIES

As an industrial company, we bear an environmental responsibility. We do this by streamlining our energy consumption, controlling our waste and integrating sustainability considerations into various stages of our activities. This goes from the choice of materials during the R & D process, through the repairability of the product, to its recycling. Aware that respect for the environment must be a driving force for everyone, we raise awareness in this regard among our employees.

6. CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT OF OUR PRACTICES

The world is changing and so are we. We are constantly looking for efficiency in all departments. Continuous improvement of processes, products and the skills of our employees is a daily task. Management and supervision support employees at all levels of the company in order to ensure the best assimilation of this policy. It also undertakes to comply with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
